LABELS – AN ENGLISH LESSON

I am so over labels. Especially those coming from the Christian community against those who support a pro-life, pro-Israel, pro-Constitution president.

One of the latest entries into the annals of woke Christendom is the label “Christian Nationalist.” I just read a letter endorsed by “evangelical leaders” citing the January 6 “insurrection” as proof that Christian Nationalism is not only alive and well but is dangerous and un-Christian.

There are so many things wrong with this that it’s not worth my time to discuss it. Let me just state a couple of facts and you can do your own research:

  1. It was primarily organized, planted troublemakers who made the trouble on January 6th.
  2. The vast majority of Christians who care deeply about their country and understand the times, like “the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do” (1 Chronicles 12:32), are not insurrectionists. The particular article I’m referring to also compares Christian Nationalism to the KKK and makes other ridiculous propositions. Stupid.

Labels, when coming from the woke Christian crowd, serve only to further divide and separate. They create a defined enemy that can be opposed: “Christian Nationalists are dangerous!”  I would rather use the English language as it was meant to be used: let’s try some adjectives instead of labels.

The woke crowd are “cowardly.” They will do and say anything to gain the acceptance of the main stream, despite the proven fact that mainstream thinking in this nation is hurtling toward destruction led by an anti-Christ spirit. They do not have the backbone to stand up against evil where it rears its obvious head.

The woke crowd are “self-serving.” Rather than confront their congregations (in the case of pastors) or their constituents (in the case of other para-church ministries), they prefer to do whatever it takes to prevent rocking the boat and drawing attention to themselves as warriors for Christ. The truth of Christ will bring persecution—the Bible promises that. I guess I have to give the woke crowd enough credit to realize that standing up for the truth of Jesus will get them into trouble, because must be the reason they act like they act. They are obviously afraid of the persecution they may endure if they make a stand for truth.

The woke crowd are “dishonest.” “Christian Nationalist” has come to mean anyone who supported our previous president, and who continues to demand that he was God’s agent on earth for good. Look at his record: fighting for the unborn, fighting against human trafficking, fighting for Israel, fighting for the Constitution, fighting against the liberal swamp creatures.

The woke crowd are “shockingly ignorant.” In the letter I have referred to in other posts (I really didn’t want to give it any more airplay, but I must), the Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden stated this ( I will quote it at length because it is almost unbelievable unless you read it for yourself):

“As pro-life leaders in the evangelical community, we publicly supported President Biden’s candidacy with the understanding that there would be engagement with us on the issue of abortion and particularly the Hyde Amendment,” read the statement from Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden. “The Biden team wanted to talk to us during the campaign to gain our support, and we gave it on the condition there would be active dialogue and common ground solutions on the issue of abortion. There has been no dialogue since the campaign…”Unfortunately I think we got a signal, but it was the wrong one,” claims Mouw. “It was a signal that the extreme wing within the Democratic Party is really determining the agenda. I don’t see any reason why a Catholic president like Joe Biden who certainly has understood the teachings of the church could not at least say we want to cut back on the number of abortions, we don’t want to federally fund abortions except in extreme circumstances. I don’t understand where he’s going with this… why he would be so open now about wanting to dump the Hyde Amendment language which for many of us was a boundary that we don’t want to cross,” continued Mouw.

Seriously? You don’t understand where Biden is going with this? Biden has a track record. Over a period of decades. He lies. That’s who he is. And he is publicly, adamantly pro-abortion! How can these “evangelical leaders,” who are supposed to be informed by the Holy Spirit within them, think that somehow a presidential candidate that is vocally pro-abortion, and whose vice-president is perhaps one of the most pro-abortion politicians in the nation, will agree to limit abortion? To sit around and have a nice, friendly chat about rolling back abortion? To actually do any single thing that limits abortion in any way? All of us sons of Issachar knew precisely what Biden et al were up to. How can these alleged “evangelical leaders” be so incredibly ignorant? “Having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” (2 Timothy 3:5).

If a “Christian Nationalist” agrees with our former president’s efforts to limit abortion, to limit human trafficking, to enforce immigration laws by welcoming legal immigrants and halting illegal immigration, to honor Israel and support them by making historic peace deals with two of Israel’s historical enemies, and to support religious freedom, then I guess I (and many born-again Christians I know who both love Jesus and love this country) am guilty as charged.

Today’s woke culture is stupid and ignorant enough on its own—condemning Dr. Suess while honoring the filthy lyrics of popular music stars—but when so-called “Christians” chime in, then it’s time to stop the bus and call a spade a spade.

While it’s true that after one gives one’s life to Jesus, and admits that Christ paid all the penalty for sin, then that person is saved and bound for heaven, it is NOT necessarily true that such a person operates in the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. The “Pro-Life Evangelicals For Biden” ended their most recent letter, a rebuke of President Biden for not actually meeting with them to discuss abortion before he put his egregious policies into place, and a demand that he sit down with them to discuss such things, by writing “If this is not done it will raise the question of whether or not we are still welcome in the Democratic Party.”

Really? So, they admit they are part of the party who supports unlimited killing of helpless babies in their mothers’ wombs?

People, wake up! The spirit of antichrist is alive and well in the church. God is in the process of doing a deep-cleaning. I fear for those Christians who, in spite of the massive evidence that the Democratic party is being led by a demonic antichrist spirit, continue to support the Democratic party. It’s time for the Church to rise up for truth and declare the Democratic agenda for what it is: an attempt to destroy every vestige of Christian virtue in this nation and replace it with a relativistic society where anything and everything is accepted, except the voices who define moral evil and declare moral righteousness.

Labels make it easy to choose sides. Labels make it easy to condemn whole groups of people simultaneously. Labels make it easy to divide nations and people groups. In this case, labels are actively being used to segregate and condemn Christians who believe in bible-based freedoms this nation was founded upon.

I think adjectives are more useful than labels. You?

  1. I think it’s also important not to let those on the left define what these terms mean. The word “nationalist” for example, has become a dirty word because most people do not distinguish between healthy and unhealthy forms of nationalism. Most people associate it with the National Socialism of Nazi Germany, but that was a form that didn’t respect borders but desired to subdue other nations under its socialist umbrella.

A healthy nationalism, on the other hand, respects borders and honors the unique qualities of each nation. It has no desire to cast its control beyond its own border or ignore the sovereignty of other nations. Being a Christian Nationalist in such a context is not a bad thing at all. We should respond with a word that educates people rather than allows them to label us falsely.
