Being a Pro-Life Evangelical For Biden is exactly as meaningful as saying I am a pro-Democrat Republican. It is non-sensical. A literal oxymoron. If I am a registered Republican and I start a website entitled “Pro-Democrat Republicans for Biden,” then I’m in the wrong party. It makes absolutely no sense to call myself a Republican and vote for a Democrat because of certain ideals. If the Democrats have ideals that match my own, and I vote for them, then I am a Democrat, no matter I choose to call myself. It’s just that simple.
If the Democratic party is staunchly pro-abortion, which they are, and which they made plainly and painfully clear during their campaigns, and which appears in plain language in their national platform, and if you voted for the Democrats, then you voted for abortion. It’s just that simple. You can make all kinds of arguments and talk about other parts of their platform that are meaningful to you, and those may actually be legitimate arguments, but the fact remains that if you voted Democrat in 2020, then you voted for what could be the most violently pro-death regime that this nation has seen.
Please realize, I’m not condemning anyone here. I’m just stating facts, and trying to point out that if words mean anything anymore, then those who voted Democrat voted for a very radical abortion agenda. Of course, the attack on the actual meaning of words is plowing forward full steam ahead in our culture today, so it’s no wonder that we see groups like Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden. Words have lost their meaning. Logic is thrown out the window in deference to wokeness and political correctness. Those hungering for the acceptance of the masses are mortgaging their souls (and their country) by trying to argue that halting illegal immigration is as much a pro-life issue as murdering babies in their mothers’ wombs.
Let’s just call a spade a spade, okay? These pro-Biden people wrote a sobbing plea for Biden to reconsider his stance on abortion, feeling betrayed by his administration, and finally claiming that if he does not make good on his alleged promise to sit down with them and discuss the whole abortion issue before making the horrible decisions he has already made, then “it will raise the question of whether or not we are still welcome in the Democratic party.”
So they have admitted that, although the DNC platform itself strongly supports abortion, supports taxpayer funding for abortion, and supports repealing the Hyde Amendment, and Biden and Harris have proven themselves over a period of decades to be strong supporters of abortion, and late term abortion, and also voting against the Born Alive bill, still these “evangelicals” call themselves democrats? I just don’t get it.
Now, I have to admit I’m not sure how the Democratic National Platform affects local or state-level democratic governments, because here in Louisiana we have a pro-life Democratic governor, and several state-level senate and congress members who are pro-life democrats. Also, I am readily willing to admit that there was a day decades ago when the term “pro-life democrat” might not have been completely contradictory. But these days it has become crystal clear that one of the main goals of the national democratic party, one which they are fighting hard for, is the killing of babies.
It is my opinion that it is no longer possible to use the term “pro-life democrat” when talking about federal-level politics. They have made their stance clear, and those Christians who voted for Biden either have other priorities that are higher in their minds than the killing of babies, or they simply don’t yet understand just how strong the convictions of these politicians are in their agenda to destroy the lives of millions of innocent unborn human beings.
It’s time to start thinking about biblical morality as it applies to the political arena. Democratic welfare programs, some of them admittedly (possibly) that are doing good for certain people groups in this nation, must be weighted in the balance of the hard-core abortion agenda they are promulgating, along with the blatant demonic attacks on the nuclear family, gender, education and just about every other aspect of our society.
Please, if you call yourself a Christian, be sure you understand the whole picture of what the Democratic national agenda is really all about. It’s time for wokeness and selfishness to end, and for all Christians to take up the mantle of protectors of innocent life.
